Vimal Kumar international badminton player and also Coach of International Champion Saina Nehwal was the Chief Guest of the valedictory function.
Speaking on the occasion Vimal Kumar congratulated the Udupi District Badminton Association (UDBA) for organising the National Level Badminton Championship in a smooth manner. Badminton is one sport, compared to tennis or swimming or football or any other discipline, there is no gap in the international level and the Indian level. We have bridged the gap; it is a very, very thin line. We have good players, we need to motivate them to play to their full potential and qualify for the International level. Everything depends on how we perform. We should stop complaining and work within the boundaries. If we do well there is no dearth of support for Badminton. Players should work hard with dedication and sincerity he added.
