432 Persons Test Positive and 5 Die of COVID-19 in DK on Sept 19
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 432 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and 5 persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on September 19.
Out of the 432 positive cases, 98 persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts, 187 persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), 128 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of 119 others.
Out of the 432 cases tested positive, 194 persons are from Mangaluru, 68 from Bantwal, 71 from Puttur, 13 from Sullia, 47 from Belthangady and 39 from other districts.
Meanwhile, 404 persons were also discharged from the hospital and COVID Care Centres after complete recovery.
So far 19754 positive cases have been reported in the district and 477 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 4529 active cases in the district.
