45 COVID-19 Recovered Patients including 18 children Discharged From Hospital
Udupi: Including 18 children a total of 45 persons were discharged from the Dist TMA COVID hospital after recovery on Saturday, May 30.
Deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh who was personally presented at the Dist TMA COVID Hospital handed over gifts and chocolates to the children and wished them the very best.
The Central government had recently revised the discharge policy for COVID patients where Mild/very mild/pre-symptomatic cases admitted to a COVID Care Facility will undergo regular temperature and pulse oximetry monitoring. The patient can be discharged after ten days of symptom onset and no fever for three days. There will be no need for testing before discharge. At the time of discharge, the patient will be advised to isolate himself at home and self-monitor their health for a further seven days.
