45-year-old Hotelier Shoots Self in Karkala
Karkala: A 45-year-old Hotelier allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with a country-made gun at Hiragana, Karkala on Sunday, September 27.
The deceased has been identified as Sunil Shetty (45) a resident of Krishnabettu Hiragana. He was running a Hotel in Pune.
According to the police, Sunil Shetty was under depression after suffering a heavy loss in his Hotel business and was unable to bear the financial burden. He returned to Native place after the COVID-19 pandemic. On Sunday Sunil Shetty committed suicide by shooting himself with a country-made gun at his house. He died on the spot.
A case has been registered in the Karkala Town Police Station.
