48-year-old ANF member Rangaswamy Dies during Naxal Combing Operations
Sullia: A 48-year-old ANF member died of cardiac arrest during Naxal combing operations in Koote Kadu, Sullia here on June 16.
The deceased has been identified as Rangaswamy (48), a resident of Karkala.
On June 15, three alleged Naxals with weapons had barged into a house and forcibly consumed food. In this connection, special teams were formed to trace the naxals.
On June 16, the ANF along with the local police were combing the Kaadu Kudi area. Rangaswamy developed chest pain and collapsed during the operation. Attempts were made to revive him without success.
The body has been shifted to the Sullia Hospital for post-mortem.
