5 Brothers from Mangaluru Recover Bodies of Actors Uday and Anil
Mangaluru: After Two days of the incident the bodies of actors Uday Raghav and Anil Kumar were recovered from Tippagondanahalli, on November 10.
A team of five divers from Mangaluru voluntarily went to Tippagondanahalli and recovered the bodies from the pond.
Divers from Mangaluru, Javed, Zakir, Arman, Wasim and Sadiq all of them brothers who are Home Guards went to Bengaluru to help in lifting the bodies from Tippagondanahalli lake and succeeded in their efforts.
All the five brothers work as Home guards at Panambur. They serve as expert divers at Tannirbavi.
All the five brothers are also fishermen and have dedicated their lives to rescue people. They have recovered more than 100 bodies from various beaches. The state government has honoured them with the Karnataka state Award.
The home guard commandant Murali Mohan Chuntaru said, “Whenever there is a drowning case, all the five brothers get into action to rescue the victims. We have felicitated all the five brothers two years ago for their dedication towards rescuing people and recovering bodies. In this case, we will recommend them for the special award. I have already sent recommendation letters to the Deputy commissioner Dr Jagadeesha and Police commissioner Chandra Sekhar to recognise their service”.
On November 7, while performing a stunt for the film ‘Maasti Gudi’, actors Uday and Anil jumped into the water and lost their lives.
