5-year-old girl Killed in Road Mishap at Kokkada
Beltangady: A 5-year-old girl was killed in a road mishap when she was crossing the road at Kokkada here on December 3.
The deceased has been identified as Krithika (5), a resident of Patladka.
According to police, on December 3, evening Krithika was returning home after visiting the clinic along with her mother. While she was crossing the road, she was hit by a car, Krithika who was severely injured and rushed to the hospital. But she succumbed to the injuries.
The locals said that the driver of the car Narayan was drunk during the incident. The car belongs to Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project which is used for the day care centre for Endosulfan victims.
The Dharmasthala police have registered a case and arrested the driver.
