50-year-old ganja peddler arrested
Udupi: A ganja peddler, who had allegedly been supplying ganja for many years, was finally nabbed by the Kota police on July 11.
The arrested has been identified as Bheema Shanker (50), a resident of Gulbarga. He was wanted by the police since 2 years. Several attempts to nab him had failed, said a police official.
On a tip-off, the police arrested him in front of Kota Marigudi, where he was trying to sell ganja. The police seized 1.7 kg of ganja from the accused.
The team was supervised by the SI of Kota police station, Kabbalraj H D. Guruprasad (Tahsildar Udupi), Subhash Kharvi (PDO, Kota), Jayaram Shetty (PDI, Airody) were present.
