50-year-old man Arrested for Rape of Minor in Puttur
Puttur: A 50-year-old man was arrested under the POCSO act by Puttur police on April 24.
The arrested has been identified as Shamsher Khan (50) from Nehru Nagar Puttur.
According to the complaint, Shamsher Khan was sexually assaulting the minor girl from the past one year. He also threatened her with life if she revealed anything to anyone. On April 17, at around 11:30 pm when the girl was sleeping, Shamsher barged into her room and raped her. She was also assaulted by him.
In this connection a case was filed in the Puttur police station. The police have registered the case under 4, 8, 12 POCSO act 2012 and 376 (1), 376(C) IPC and arrested the accused.
