50-year-old Woman Dies in Bike-truck Collision
Kundapur: A 50-year-old woman was killed in a head-on collision between a bike and truck on the Basruru-Margoli State Highway on Thursday, January 17.
The deceased has been identified as Maimuna (50) a resident of Kodi near Kundapur.
According to the police, Maimuna was returning with her husband from Gulwadi to Kodi on the motorbike. When they reached near Margoli the bike collided with the ten-wheeler truck coming from the opposite direction. Maimuna who was thrown to the road was run over by the truck killing her on the spot.
Traffic on the highway was disrupted for some time. Kundapur DySP Dinesh Kumar, CPI Manjappa, Kundapur PI Harish and Kandlur PI Sridhar Naik visited the spot and cleared the traffic.
A case has been registered in the Kundapur Traffic Police Station.
