52-year-old Woman killed in wall collapse at Cherkadi
Udupi: With the district experiencing heavy rainfall, a 52-year-old woman died after the bathroom wall of her house collapsed at Pethri under Brahmavar Police Station limits on August 8 morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ganga Marakalthi (52) a resident of Cherkadi near Brahmavar.
According to the Police, was milking a cow in the shed around 6 a.m. on Thursday morning when the wall, which was wet due to heavy rains over the past 4 days, collapsed on her. She reportedly died on the spot.
The Brahmavar Thasildar and local Panchayat president visited the spot and collected necessary information in regard to the incident. The Body has been sent for post mortem to the Petri Health Center
The Brahmavar Police have registered a case.
