53-year-old Journalist Rohit Raj from Mangaluru found dead in Manipal
Manipal: A 53-year-old Journalist of a Mangalore based media house was found dead at his flat in Manipal on January 1.
The deceased has been identified as Rohit Raj (53), a resident of Pandeshwar Mangaluru.
According to the Manipal police, on December 31, Rohit Raj had attended a New Year party celebration at Kadiyali, Udupi along with his wife.
After reaching home there was a heated argument between Rohit Raj and his wife. On Wednesday morning Rohit’s body was found in a hanging position in his room, his wife who noticed it immediately informed the police.
The Manipal Police rushed to the spot, lowered the body and sent it to the mortuary for post mortem. Police have found wounds on Rohit’s head and chest. Forensic doctors team also visited the spot.
Rohith Raj Suvarna was the founder of the first cable tv channel in Mangaluru.
A case has been registered in the Manipal Police Station.
