55-year-old Photo Journalist Anwar Passes Away
Mangaluru: Poet and photo Journalist Ahmed Anwar passed away at his residence, at Balmatta, here on December 11. He was 55.
Ahmed Anwar was a fabric merchant by profession. He was later attracted to photography and joined the media as a photojournalist. He has written several poems, articles and stories and has attended many poetry workshops.
Some of Anwar’s works are, Bharatageeta, Gulmohar, Nanna Kanasina Bharat and Bevu Bella. He has won many awards for his literary work. Anwar’s friends have brought out his book of poems, “Payanigala Padyagalu”, which was supposed to be released on December 23 at Town Hall, under the Bilichukke Publications.
