58-year-old CISF Police SI Posted at NMPA Kills Himself using his Service Gun
Mangaluru: As per police source, a Police Sub Inspector with Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) posted on night shift at New Mangalore Port Authority(NMPA) in New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) at the entrance/Main gate ended his life by shooting himself using his service weapon on Sunday 22 October 2023.
The deceased is identified as Zakir Hussain (58), a resident of Raichur. As per police, Zakir after completing his night shift and handing over the charge to the morning shift incharge person at around 6.30 am , proceeded to the washroom of NMPA next to the main gate and shot himself using the service gun.
A case has been registered in Panambur police station and an investigation is still on to find out the motive behind the extreme step taken by him
