6 Arrested in Attempt to Murder Case in Kalladka
Bantwal: In connection with an assault and attempt to murder case, Uppinangady and Bantwal police have arrested 6 youth on July 2.
The arrested have been identified as Kiran (24) and Kirthan (22) from Kalladka, Yogish K (22) and Lokesh K (25) from Goltamajalu, Mohan Poojary (22) and Vidyadhar Poojary (23) from K C Road Chathra.
According to the police on June 11, when Chethan alias Chethu (26) from Melkar was sitting in a shop at Kalladka Kelaginapete. The accused barged into the shop, assaulted and attempted to kill him. In this connection, Chethan filed a case in the Bantwal police station.
The accused were absconding after the crime. On getting information of the accused, the Bantwal police along with Uppinangady police arrested all the six and produced them before the court.
Under the direction of SP Dr Ravikanthe Gowda, the operation was carried out by the DCIB Police Inspector Sunil Kumar, Bantwal PSI Chandrashekar H V, Crime section SI Harish M R, Traffic Police Sub Inspector Yallappa, Uppinangady SI Nandakumar and police personnel from Bantwal Town, Traffic and DCIB.
