6-year-old Jenishia Falls from 8th Floor in Shaktinagar, Dies
Mangaluru: A 6-year-old girl died after falling from the 8th floor of an apartment in Shaktinagar here, on May 30.
The deceased has been identified as Shannel Jenishia D’Souza (6), daughter of Wilson Sebastian and Alitha D’Souza from Shaktinagar.
According to the police, Wilson Sebastian who is working in Sharjah had rented a flat from Veena Eliza Saldanha on the 8th floor of Classique Sapphire Apartments belonging to Mahabaleshwara Builders. At around 8:45 am, when Jenishia was looking down from the balcony, she lost balance and fell down.
Severely injured Jenishia was rushed to the KMC Hospital where she succumbed to the injuries on the same day at 5:00 pm.
The Kankanady Town police have reached the spot for investigations.
A case has been filed against the flat owner Veena Eliza Saldanha and GPA Holder Valerian Monteiro for negligence in the Kankanady Town police station.
