Berlin, June 18 (IANS) Austrian international goalkeeper Heinz Lindner has moved from Austria Wien to German football club Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old custodian on Wednesday signed a two-year contract, which keeps him with the “Eagles” until June 2017, reports Xinhua.
“Heinz Lindner is an ambitious and developable goalkeeper, who is known for his good reflexes. In addition, he has gained a considerable international experience through his caps with the national team and his team,” Frankfurt’s sporting director Bruno Huebner said.
Lindner made overall 166 appearances for Austria Wien. He played besides that six UEFA Champions League encounters last season.
“At Frankfurt I want to take the next step in my career. I’m now full of euphoria and excitement. I want to prove myself in the Bundesliga,” the new arrival said.
Frankfurt completed the last Bundesliga season on the ninth place of the standings.
