67-year-old Former Minister Dhananjay Kumar Passes Away

Mangaluru: Former Minister Dhananjay Kumar breathed his last due to multiple organ failure, at a Hospital in city here on March 4. He was 67.

Dhananjay Kumar was suffering from Kidney problems and five months ago he was admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru. He was later shifted to the Intensive Care Unit. On March 4, at 1:30 pm Dhananjay Kumar breathed his last in the hospital.

Dhananjay Kumar was a hardcore supporter of B S Yeddyurappa. In 1983 he joined the BJP and become the MLA and later the MP. He also became the union minister and served in the centre.

Dhananjay Kumar completed his Law degree at the Vaikunta Baliga Law College and started his practice in Mangaluru. Through the Janasangha he entered into politics. Dhananjay was the president of BJP Mangaluru Constituency, State president of Yuva Morcha and the Vice President of All India BJP.
