7 Die of COVID-19 and 153 Persons Test Positive in DK on August 3

Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, Seven persons have died of COVID-19, and 153 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Dakshina Kannada district on August 3.

Out of the 163 cases tested positive, 119 persons are from Mangaluru, 11 from Bantwal, 6 from Belthangady, 4 from Puttur, one from Sullia and 12 from other districts.

So far 6168 positive cases have been reported in the district, and 176 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 3138 active cases in the district.

All the 153 persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, 124 persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.
