8-year-old Girl injured as car Topples at Maravanthe
Kundapur: An 8-year-old girl was seriously injured, while four others escaped with minor injuries when the car they were travelling in toppled on National Highway 66 near Maravanthe Beach, Kundapur here on November 1.
According to the Gangolli police Sunny Lasrado, a resident of Nandigudda Mangaluru had gone to Honnavar with his mother Cecilia, his elder sister Jasmine her children Kiona and Khel to meet their relatives. On November 1 they were returning from Honnavar to Mangaluru. When they reached near Maraswami Temple the driver lost control and the car toppled. The car toppled after hitting a parked vehicle on the side of the road, said the police.
Kiyona Pinto who was in the car sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Manipal Hospital for treatment. Sunny, Cecilia, Jasmine and Khel escaped with minor injuries and have been admitted to a Private hospital in Kundpaur.
Gangolli police visited the spot.
