89 Persons Test Positive and 5 Die of COVID-19 in DK on July 20

Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 89 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus, and five persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on July 20.

Out of the 89 positive cases, eleven persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts. Two persons had returned from the Gulf. Forty-five persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and sixteen persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of fifteen others.

All the 89 persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, fifty-seven persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.
