Konkani Activist, Writer & Social Worker Paul Moras aged 68 No More
Mangaluru : Well-known Konkani Activist, acclaimed Writer, Researcher and Social Worker Paul Moras passed away at 10.30 am on Sunday, 30 August 2020, at the age 68.
Paul Moras was born on 28 April 1952, and during the last three decades He had rendered immense service to the Konkani community. He has published Konkani research volumes and several research articles, and His books have been selected for higher studies in universities of Goa and Mangaluru. He was honoured with a number of literary awards, including Karnataka Konkani Sahithya Academy Award.
Some of his works are ‘Konkani Chalvoll’, ‘Jagaran’ and ‘Mogre-Karan’ and ‘Khel-Rajanv’. And for his work ‘Konkani Chalvoll,’ he had won Dr T M A Pai Foundation’s Best Konkani Book award,and had also won ‘Mahan Konkani Karbari’ and district-level Rajyotsava Award.
He leaves behind his wife, Mrs Juliet Moras, and four siblings- daughter Ms Preema, and three sons- Prem, Jeevan and Pradeep.
Regarding Funeral details- His body will be kept for public viewing at Holy Redeemer Church-Derebail, Mangaluru at 3.30 pm, followed by funeral services at 4.00 pm on 31 August 2020.
