A country of fakes
This is the story of a country which is full of gullible people looking for a chance to get over their inferiority complexes. This one story of a young ‘scientist’ was carried by the media without a shade of skepticism or even common sense. The young man from Bihar made a tall claim of inventions, studies a Ted X video about his own success and the works! He even claimed to have made path-breaking concoctions which in a burst of egomania have been named after himself like Goponium alloy, which does not change appearance at any temperature, Gopalsaka which will reduce radiation produced by nuclear attacks etc.
There were a number of others like being considered as one of the top scientists of the world etc, Hydroelectric bio cell which could store 50,000 volts of electricity, G star powder which could generate a temperature of 5000 degrees centigrade when applied. Besides, there was a claim of a paper bio cell which could generate electricity from waste paper. The heights were that the claim that he had been called by NASA to work for them and that Trump had personally invited him. Of course, the great patriot that he is he refused it only to work for his matrubhoomi!
Now, the media which had given publicity to these claims without any verification has been cut to a sorry state where the news item has been removed! This is the sorry state of media in a nation of gullible fools who want to glorify the alleged hidden talents and the greatness of our people! In this process, they do not realise that they are making a laughing stock of ourselves in the world!
I have attached the relevant posts for publication along with the withdrawal of the news item! It is indeed sad that we rationalists have to counter such fakes along with false claims of supernatural powers too!
