A Record Breaker! St Aloysius College Lad Niyaz Nijju’s Song Viewed by 17 Million People
Mangaluru: At St Aloysius (Autonomous) College-Mangaluru Stars are Not Made, Instead Stars are Born! This college has been in the news quite a few times, where students have made remarkable progress in the field of IT, Sports, Cultural Activity- and here we have one more student making a big news in the field of Music, where his original composition of Malayalam song received over 17 million viewers within six months. “ānandaṁ” (Kudos) and abhinandanaṅṅaḷ (Congratulations) to Niyaz from Team Mangalorean for his accomplishment!
Niyaz Nijju is a student of II Year B.Voc. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) at St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru. One of his album songs in Malayalam “Olum Njaanum” was viewed by more than 17 million people in YouTube within a period of 6 months. This is the only Malayalam album which crossed 1 million YouTube viewers in just ten days. This is a great achievement indeed!
One of his family friend speaking to Team Mangalorean said, “Niyaz Nijju is a hardworking boy and loves to compose his own songs in Malayalam. Along with his studies, he has bagged several prizes for singing in various competitions. He has been spending his valuable time in composing such album songs and his hard work has led him to greater heights. He is grateful to his best friends, Nawaz Munna and Nizar H.K. who motivated and helped him to reach this great achievement. He acknowledges with gratitude that they have helped him financially for making this hit album “.
Niyaz’s one more best friend, Salim has acted the lead role in this album song. Hajra Haju has acted the lead female role and another talented student, Meghana Kundapur who is a student of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) acted as co-actress. The principal of St Aloysius College, Rev Dr Praveen Martis SJ has applauded the achievement of Niyaz Nijju and said that “he is really a role model for other students”. He wished well for his upcoming album song “Neeyum Njaanum” which will be released soon.
About Niyaz Nijju:
Niyaj Nijju is basically from Kerala and settled in Uppala, Kasaragod. He did his early education in GHSS Bekur and PU education in GHSS Paivalike Nagar. During his childhood, he received many prizes and awards for his singing in various competitions in different languages. His is the proud son of Mr Yusuf, an Autorickshaw Driver and Asma, a Housewife.
Presently he is studying B.Voc. Course (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Kaushal Kendra, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru. Besides this, Niyaz has a live band called “Olum Njaanum” which performs at various occasions.
