Aam Aadmi Party Volunteer Rajendra Kumar contesting in MLC Election

Mangaluru: The final electoral roll (dated 19th Jan 2018) for the Karnataka south-west teacher constituency was published by the election commission and was made available online for all. New supplement was added few days back wherein another 2000 voters were added new to the voters list justifying the inclusion as a continuous updating activity.

Many colleges have submitted their teaching staff applications in bulk to the election commission. It was reported by many institutions that from the submitted lot many names are missing. Many teachers are complaining that their name do not appear on the electoral rolls even though they have submitted the forms – twice and thrice. But still they do not find their names. It is unfortunate that many teachers are deprived of their right to vote because of the functioning of election commission. A complaint by Rajendra Kumar to the election commission regarding the deprivation of voting rights for the eligible teachers illustrate the seriousness and commitment of your candidate towards teaching community says Rajendra Kumar.

Many teachers have expressed the difficulty in getting their dues because of corrupt practices in the government administration. As an Aam Aadmi Party volunteer he has been spearheading the fight against the corruption locally. This experience and knowledge will help in addressing this corruption issues not just in education field but in all government departments he says.

He expressed dissatisfaction for ignoring the private teachers in the government planning. He will make all efforts to take the private teachers into consideration. He says issues pertaining to all teaching communities –government/aided/private/engineering/degree/PU/high schools needs to be addressed appropriately as everyone is a part of the system. Issues like grant-in aid, student to teacher ratio requires serious considerations and he expressed confidence in presenting these issues effectively in the council.

The need of the time is to have a representative who understands the issues of the teaching community, posses the analytical skills to evaluate all the available options and carefully prepares the subject for presentation to government. By virtue of his qualification, clarity on many subjects, good analytical, leadership skills and his association with the political activities, Rajendra Kumar expressed confidence in addressing the teacher’s issues to the best possible way. He also assured that he will maintain complete transparency in his conduct and will address all the problems on their merit without any prejudice to any specific groups/regions/service types.

While seeking support for his candidature from all teaching members, he requested all teachers to make up their mind after analyzing all aspects. Therefore, MLC CANDIDATE RAJENDRA KUMAR requests the teaching community to make up their mind after careful analysis in the upcoming election for the South West Teachers election
