‘AAP will Win Big in Punjab and Goa’- Shanthala Damle

‘AAP will Win Big in Punjab and Goa’ as per State Co-Convener and Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge, Smt. Shanthala Damle. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would emerge as the single largest largest party in Goa if elections were held to the state legislative assembly today.

Mangaluru: According to a survey conducted by Kautilya voter intelligence survey 2016, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would emerge as the single largest largest party in Goa if elections were held to the state legislative assembly today. The survey indicates that ruling party BJP is going increasingly out of favour though it can win back voters’ confidence if Manohar Parrikar returns as the state’s chief ministerial candidate. According to this survey, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would get 14 seats out of the total 40.

In yet another survey, if elections were held in Punjab today, in what is likely to be an encouraging development for the Aam Aadmi Party supporters, the survey has predicted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s party to win nearly 100 seats in Punjab. The survey conducted by HuffPost-CVoter in February shows a consolidation of favorable sentiment in favour of AAP from the same time last year. As per the findings of the survey, AAP is likely to bag between 94-100 out of the 117 seats in the Punjab Legislative Assembly, up from the 83-89 projection of the CVoter poll from April, 2015. The ruling SAD-BJP alliance will come with just 6-12 seats, down from 13-19 seats last year, the survey claimed. Interestingly, the survey claimed that 48 percent would vote for AAP if the election was held today.

Based on these statistics, addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, State Co-Convener and Dakshina Kannada district in-charge, Smt. Shanthala Damle said, ” Aam Aadmi Party Mangaluru calls upon local leaders and prominent people to join the Party and to support AAP in Goa election. After a huge kick start in Delhi by winning 67/70 seats, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been growing in popularity all over the country. AAP is confident of winning a huge majority in the assembly elections in Punjab and Goa early next year. AAP’s increasing popularity in the poll-bound states has unleashed a lot of vendetta by the political opponents and they have been creating obstacles in every possible way for the Delhi government. Yet, Delhi Govt has achieved great results in health care and education.”

She further said, “Yesterday, Arvind Kejriwal held a rally in Surat, Gujarat, that was attended by thousands of people. Several road blocks were created to stop AAP ‘s rally in Surat. The permission to conduct the rally was delayed several times, AAP volunteers were detained and beaten up by police, an AAP MLA who was in charge of the rally was arrested by Delhi police one day before rally, in Gujarat, on basis of a fabricated case, the landlord of the AAP Surat office was pressurized to ask the party to vacate one day before the rally, the electricity to the venue was cut off previous night, malicious banners were put up against Arvind Kejriwal.. And many more such despicable acts. Despite all these, Gujartis have spoken loud and clear. They are ready for change, ready for AAP.”

“Under the able leadership of State Convener Prithvi Reddy, AAP-Karnataka has been focusing on Karnataka targeting the assembly elections in 2018. Thousands of volunteers have joined the party across the state in the last few months by giving a missed call to 080-67331840. I humbly call upon Party’s supporters, well wishers and sympathizers across the district to publicly endorse the party and to support AAP in the upcoming Goa elections. AAP is already on winning path in Goa and some help from Karnataka would ensure more than a 2/3 rd majority” added Damle.

While concluding Damle said, “There are three ways to help. (1) Make a donation to Aam Aadmi Party and indicate the contribution towards Goa campaign. (2) Join the ground campaign in Kannada and Konkani speaking areas of Goa. You can join the team leaving on 19th October for 7-10 days or you can register to go during November second week. Food and accommodation will be taken care of by AAP Goa. (3) Join a calling campaign and make at least 20 calls per day. Please contact Rohan Shiri, Dakshina Kannada District Secretary, 8884431217 for pledging your support. AAP has one agenda – to provide corruption-free and people centric governance.”

Rohan Shiri-DK District AAP secretary, JP Rao- Mangaluru/Ullal AAP Convener, and Kabir Katipalla- Minority Wing Leader of AAP were also present on the dais during the press meet.
