Abhaychandra Jain to Contest from Moodbidri, Mithun and Ivan in Waiting List
Mangaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated various projects in Moodbidri on January 7, during his visit Siddaramaiah convinced former minister Abhaychandra Jain to contest the forthcoming elections.
Earlier Abhaychandra Jain had decided not to contest in the forthcoming elections and Mithun Rai was the aspirant to contest from the Moodbidri Constituency. At the same time, Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza was also trying to get the ticket to contest from the Moodbidri constituency.
Mithun Rai along with Abhaychandra Jain worked hard for the development of Moodbidri. Youth Icon Mithun Rai and Ivan D’Souza were both trying hard for the ticket.
On January 7, CM Siddaramaiah convinced Abhaychandra Jain to contest the elections. CM Siddaramaiah also assured to recommend Abhaychandra Jain’s name to the high command to get the ticket to contest from the Moodbidri constituency during the next elections.
Speaking to mangalorean.com Abhaychandra Jain said, “I will contest the forthcoming elections from Moodbidri constituency as I am the sitting MLA and a hardcore Congressman.”
When asked about Mithun Rai and Ivan D’Souza being the aspiring candidates for the Moodbidri constituency, Abhaychandra said, “This time I will contest the elections from my constituency.”
When contacted Mithun Rai, he reacted saying, “I am very happy that Abhayachandra Jain is contesting from the Moodbidri constituency. In the beginning, he wanted to encourage me and insisted me to contest from the Moodbidri constituency. But there was another aspirant for the same ticket. I wish Abhayachandra Jain the very best and will continue to support him.”
With this announcement, aspirants for Moodbidri Constituency Ivan D’Souza and Mithun Rai will be disappointed.
Does it really make any diference. None of these brahaspatis can do any thing in any case.
