Abhivandana Divas marks Suvarna Chathurmasa Vratha of Vidhyadhiraj Teertha
Mangaluru: To mark the Suvarna Chathurmasa Vratha of Srimad Vidhyadhiraj Teertha Sripad Vader, an Abhivandana Divas was celebrated at Gokarna Math, Car Street here on August 18.
The programme began with an invocation. Kumble Narasimha Prabhu welcomed the gathering.
The Dharmadhikari of Shree Kshethra Dharmasthala, Dr Veerendra Heggade was felicitated with GSV Samaj Maha Ratna Puraskar by Srimad Vidhyadhiraj Teertha Sripad Vader on the occasion.
In his felicitation speech, Dr Veerendra Heggade said, “I respect Srimad Vidhyadhiraj Teertha Sripad Vader a lot, he is very humble and also has special respect to Dharmasthala”.
Dr Heggade also said that Guru loves his disciples and teaches the difference between good and bad. If Guru and God appear together, we need to respect the Guru first because the Guru is the one who teaches what is God and how to respect God. We need to have a balance in our life, if we do not have balance in our life we will not succeed in our life. Life is very precious so we need to maintain the balance in our life. We should not be greedy while consuming food, we should even have a limit on our wealth. If wealth and food are in excess, it will become poisonous.
While concluding Dr Heggade said, “We need to have trust in God and maintain the balance in our day-to-day life”.
Union Railway minister Suresh Prabhu was felicitated with the GSB Maha Ratna Puraskar. Entrepreneur Dayanand Pai handed over 50 sovereigns of gold to Srimad Vidhyadhiraj Teertha Sripad Vader on the occasion. Dayanand Pai was felicitated with GSB Maha Ratna Puraskar, Sripad Y Nayak was felicitated with Samaj Ratna Puraskar, Srinivas Dumpe and Shivanand V Salga were felicitated with GSB Udyog Ratna Puraskar and R V Deshpande was felicitated with GSB Samaj Ratna Puraskar by Srimad Vidhyadhiraj Teertha Sripad Vader on the occasion.
Many devotees offered various gifts to the Swamiji. A stamp and postcard were released by the Srimad Vidhyadhiraj Teertha Sripad Vader.
