Abu Dhabi: ISC’s Three-day ‘UAE Exchange, Xpress Money India Fest Season 6’ Concludes

Abu Dhabi: In commemoration of the 44th UAE National Day, the India Social and Cultural Centre Abu Dhabi (ISC), the largest socio-cultural organization of the Indian community in the capital, organized the sixth season of its signature event “UAE Exchange, Xpress Money India Fest Season 6” at the ISC on the 3, 4 and 5th of December 2015.

The three-day cultural extravaganza attracted hundreds of people at the India Fest which was held at India Social and Cultural centre, concluded on December 5 with loads of special attractions from eminent artistes, musical bands and dance performances.

The inaugural function was held on December 3, with traditional dance choreographed by guruAsha Nair. It was attended by the Ambassador of India to UAE TP Seetharam, Omar Shahi, from the Office of Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Dr B R Shetty, Vice Chairman of ISC and Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of NMC Health Care; Adeeb Ahamed, Patron Governor – ISC and CEO, Lulu International Exchange; Y Sudhir Shetty, President – UAE Exchange; Ganesh Babu, General Governor – ISC, Managing Director, Gemini Building Materials and Humayun Alam, General Manager, Al Masaood Automobiles.

Musical performance were presented by Indian musicians accompanied by anchors Roi, Diji andAparna. Various attractive dances and performances including Kathak, cinematic and other Indian/Arabic dance forms, by leading artistes and dance instructors across UAE were also presented.

The three-day programme contained a live musical band by the famous band from India, ‘Wooden Shield’. There was also a live musical concert by famous South Indian playback singer Madhu Balakrishnan, partnering with famous Bollywood playback singer Chitra Iyer. On 5th December, musical performances were given by playback singer Sumi Aravind and team.

The three day fest containing loads of entertainment programmes mesmerized the audience. Russian dancers with Russian folk dances, performance, art forms representing various states of India including Lazeem by Maharastra Mandal, and folk dance by Gujrathi Samaj and various other teams mesmerized the crowd with their wonderful performance. Guru Asha Nair’s disciples gave a power packed mixed musical mind blowing dance performance, which received a huge applause from the audience.

Anchors Roi, Diji and Aparana were appreciated by the ISC managing committee for their wonderful coordination for day three of India Fest Season 6.

Khatak Guru Kundan’s disciples gave a traditional touch by their soft musical dance performance which got a huge round of applause. There was a raffle draw during the closing ceremony and the winner walked away with a Nissan car. The grand closing ceremony of ISC India Fest Season 6 concluded with a multitude of raffles and prizes galore including the Grand Prize, a Nissan car.

In addition, there were scores of stalls showcasing arts, textiles, jewellery, flower shops, business entities and exchanges centers. All these stalls were visited by large numbers of people. There were also food outlets and restaurants that served authentic Indian delicacies enjoyed by all the visitors to the grand India Fest Season 6.
