ABVP Bike Rally Marks Kargil Vijay Diwas
Mangaluru: To mark the 17th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, members of the ABVP held a bike rally from Jyothi Circle to Bunts Hostel Circle here, on July 26.
The rally was inaugurated by the Divisional Organising Secretary of ABVP Tejaswi by showering flower petals on the portrait of Kargil war heroes.
Addressing the students, Tejaswi said, “We remember the day when the soldiers sacrificed their lives to the country. The valiant soldiers fought till their last breath and laid down their lives. We, the students, should be inspired by the heroic deeds of our soldiers. To instil a sense of patriotism and love for the country in our students, we have organised this rally. The rally will bring awareness among the people to live in harmony, unity and brotherhood. Today, we have a career based education system. Let the students think of others and work for the betterment of the society.”
He also said, “This is the day when we should all remember the bravery and the courage of our brave soldiers during the Kargil war 17 years ago. We will never forget the fearlessness with which our courageous soldiers gave a befitting and unforgettable reply to the intruders. We all are proud of our soldiers.”
The bike rally culminated at the ABVP office. Divisional Co-convener Chethan Padil, City Secretary Hitesh, Jayesh and others were also present.
