The Anti Corruption Bureau itself is an illegal entity, it is a deliberate attempt to ruin Lokayuktha. There are pending cases in Lokayukta on Power Minister D K Shivkumar, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Dinesh Gundurao, Santosh Lad, Dr HD Ramesh and many other politicians. When these cases were filed in Lokayukta, the Lokayukta police registered the case. The Central Empowered Committee on the orders of Supreme Court of India was asked to submit a report on the cases to SC, the delay in filing the report can be witnessed. The chief minister is defending the indefensible. In the rally leading to Bellary, Congress leaders questioned BJP leaders but today their moves are to be questioned.

The government will transfer the cases to ACB for further investigation and at a later stage will drop the cases. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who travelled to Bellary on Padayathra referring the cases of corruption filed in Lokayukta against BJP leaders should now answer on his stand on the formation of Anti Corruption Bureau. The opposition parties should also declare their stand on ACB, BJP is trying to  make gains by shouting inside the assembly and then by remaining silent outside the assembly, he added.

The Central Government should not interfere in the functioning of Universities. Many should learn from Kanhaiya Kumar. For just having ideological differences one should not be targeted.

Press Club Convenor Chetan Padubidri, Secretary of Udupi District Working Journalists Association Rajesh Shetty and others were present.

“Many should learn from Kanhaiyya kumar” – Report quoting an individual who seems to be a big champion of individual liberty and free speech.

Good – I am also a big supporter of free speech and Individual liberty. I support JNU student group’s right to express controversial views. Same way, I also support one’s right to draw pictures or cartoons of any religious figure and publish it. Do these ‘social activists’ and kannayya kumaara agree with me?

Everything said and done …. we must not allow shouting of anti national slogans in support of terrorists who were hanged. It is nothing but questioning SC and President of India ‘s decision to hang them and it must not be allowed .

Socialists and capitalists are at each others’ throat in their ideological fight world over but it’s in fact the crony capitalists and the champagne socialists who have spoilt the show. Even I do not agree with his anti-capitalist stance but Hiremath is a well qualified, capable man. He is the reason the Bellary mining mafia was brought to justice. His views may be Gandhian (socialist) but he is doing a great job in India by challenging the crooked politicians. He could have had a posh life for himself in the West but he gave away all of it just to… Read more »
