Accused Absconding from 2 years in Farangipet Double Murder Case Arrested
Mangaluru: The accused in the Farangipet double murder case, who was absconding from the past two years has been arrested at Kankanady here on October 9.
The arrested has been identified as Jabbar (42) from Maripalla Farangipet.
Two years ago, Riyaz and Fayaz were killed by a gang near the police outpost at Farangipet. The accused had come in a Qualis and assaulted Riyaz and Fayaz with machetes. In the assault Faizal, Anees and Mushtaq were also injured and admitted to the hospital.
In this case, 12 persons have already been arrested and the police were searching for the accused Jabbar who was absconding after the crime.
After 2 years Jabbar travelled to India via Nepal and was residing in Kankanady. The police after getting reliable information about Jabbar’s whereabouts arrested him on October 9.
Jabbar was produced before the court by the Bantwal Circle Inspector T D Nagaraj, Bantwal Rural Police Sub Inspector Prassana and team and was sent to judicial custody for 15 days.
