Achhe Din Aane Waale Hain, But When?- Poojary asks PM Modi
Mangaluru: Poojary was back in the Mangalore Press Club again within the last couple of days, and this time hitting hard at PM Narendra Modi, rather than CM Siddaramaiah. Addressing the media persons, Senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojary said, ” The dead line has passed, when PM Modi had promised that “Achhe Din Aane Waale Hain “which means in English- “Good days are coming ?”, indicating that a prosperous future was in store for India if the BJP came into power. But after BJP’s victory and Modi becoming the PM, instead of good days, the nation is still in the crisis of bad days. Seems like PM Modi doesn’t practice what he preaches, and also never keeps up with his promises”.
“The demonetization introduced by Modi is a bad decision and is ruin the lives of poor and middle-class people, rather than the rich people. The poor and the farmers still have to stay in long queues to withdraw their very own money from the banks, and many times banks run out of cash, including the ATM’s. The demonetization could be a good idea but it was not properly introduced, it was implemented in a hurry- and the result now is that it has created inconveniences and hardships to many citizens, especially the middle-class, the poor and the farmers” added Poojary.
” Modi is talking about making business transaction cashless in India, but how many countries have this cashless system- probably none. Even Switzerland where most of the black money of rich Indians were deposited, that country has not opted for a cashless system. Modi should have used his common sense before he planned on this cashless system. It is imperative, nay essential, that India moves towards a cashless economy. In this context, the demonetization ordered by the Modi government is a welcome move. But at the same time, there is also the stark reality of India. It is also true that Indians are not exactly ready for cashless future, for few reasons like- Majority still lacks a card; Poor Internet; Cyber security issues; No proper PoS machines etc” added Poojary.
He further said, ” Rumours are that PM Modi received nearly Rs 52 crores from Swiss banks. If Modi has the guts he needs to clarify and speak to the nation on this issue. It is also learnt that BJP and its leaders had also pocketed huge black money- but where have they hidden all this money.
This kind of corruption should vanish from our country. Modi’s comments on Rahul Gandhi that the latter has no knowledge of politics, that he doesn’t know how to address a gathering- and also Modi making mimicry of Rahul Gandhi needs to be stopped by Modi. Rahul Gandhi is indeed a young and determined politician who can face anyone and fight for justice”.
Poojary also came down harsh on Mayor Harinath saying, “Mayor Harinath should apologise for stating during a press meet that I was informed earlier about the hike in property tax under Self Assessment Scheme (SAS). He is lying, he hasn’t mentioned anything about the hike to me, which makes people to believe that I too was involved in the tax hike, but I wasn’t. It’s wrong on Mayor’s part to blabber anything for political gains. The Mayor has broken his word that he would not raise the self-assessment tax, which he had promised during his victory celebration speech. Does the Mayor know that he came to power because of the citizens of Mangaluru. He still can withdraw his decision on the tax hike, thereby keeping his promise that he made earlier.”
Congress members- Arun Coelho, Kallige Taranath Shetty and others were also present during the press meet.
Actually PM forgotten to say, that achche din not for you…For rest of the people who love the nation not vote bank..
