Los Angeles, Aug 1 (IANS) Actress Valerie Harper is not in a coma, according to the theatre company in Maine where she was performing prior to her hospitalisation this week.
On Friday, a spokesperson for the Ogunquit Playhouse issued a statement to accesshollywood.com regarding the reports swirling around the actress’ condition.
“Executive Artistic Director Bradford Kenney has been in direct communication with Valerie’s family from the beginning and can report that Valerie is not, and has never been, in a coma. She is currently enjoying her family’s company while resting at an undisclosed location,” the statement read.
Harper had been performing in the Ogunquit production of “Nice Work If You Can Get It” as Millicent Winter, along with Sally Struthers as Duchess Estonia Dulworth. The theatre spokesperson noted Harper was “looking forward to getting back on stage” as well.
