Doha, April 16 (IANS) Pankaj Advani commenced his campaign at the Asian Snooker Championship with a 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia’s Sulaiman Almisfer here on Saturday.
In his first match, Pankaj defeated Almisfer in straight frames, 82-26, 81-06,76-23,70-15 with breaks of 67 and 69 in the second and fourth frame respectively.
Commenting on his start, Pankaj was relieved. “It was great to have this campaign started, there is a rhythm that is found on commencing with a tournament and I am delighted to have got off to a winning start.
“I am focused on working towards a similar score-line for all my group matches,” he added.
Pankaj will play his second match in the group stages on Sunday.
