Aishwarya Khare’s accent issues

Mumbai, Jan 11 (IANS) Actress Aishwarya Khare had fun taking on the avatar of a 60-year-old woman for a sequence in TV show “Saam Daam Dand Bhed”, but had trouble in getting the accent right.

To get the look for the sequence of the Star Bharat show, Aishwarya, who plays the role of Bulbul, wore a sari, big spectacles and dentures, read a statement.

“It’s a great experience though I am facing little problems with the Aligarh accent, but I am trying. All and out, it’s a funny yet a wonderful experience to don look of an old lady,” Aishwarya said.

She shot for the sequence for more than a week, and every day she took more than two hours to get ready.

Asked about her mentor, Sargun was quick to name Dharmesh Shah, who is the director of the Star Bharat show.

“I am glad to have a mentor like Dharmesh sir. I idolise him and look up to him in real life. It is rare to find someone you can call an idol because they play such an influential role my life,” Sargun said in a statement.

Vishal Vashishtha honing his cooking skills

Actor Vishal Vashishtha, who essays role of a chef in “Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki”, is learning how to cook in real life.

Taking inspiration from his reel character Kanhaiya, Vishal tries to cook his own food whenever he has time.

“Eating remains an elaborate exercise on the sets. An actor usually adapts his character to give his best shot which led me to my recently found interest in cooking,” Vishal said in a statement.

“Playing a bawarchi made me inclined towards experimenting with cooking food. I decided to learn cooking to get the feel of the character better. I am still at a learning stage I hope to be better some day,” he added.

“Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki” is aired on Star Bharat.

‘Love On The Run’ salutes power of love: Vrushika

Actress Vrushika Mehta has praised TV show “Love On The Run” for saluting the power of love and for bringing diverse stories on the small screen.

Vrushika will be seen in an upcoming episode of the TV show, which will narrate a love story between cousins.

“I had an amazing time on the sets of ‘Love On The Run’. It is also after a long time that I’m doing an episodic, so what I really liked about the show is how it salutes the power of love and is youth-centric,” Vrushika said in a statement.

“I loved the story and it’s very different from what I have done earlier. It shows how love is pure and raw and knows no bounds. I’m really looking forward to see how this episode turns out to be,” she added.

The show airs on MTV.
