AJ Hospital observes World TB Day
Mangaluru: AJ Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Department of Community Medicine and Department of Respiratory Medicine, Mangaluru in collaboration with Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing celebrated the WORLD TB DAY on the theme “WANTED LEADERS FOR A TB FREE WORLD”, on 24 March 2018 at the HRC Auditorium, AJIMS & RC, Mangalore.
Dr Animesh Jain (Professor and HOD Community Medicine KMC, Mangalore) was the chief guest. Dr Ashok Hegde (Dean, AJIMS & RC, Mangalore) presided over the function. Talks were delivered by Dr Animesh Jain and Dr Vishnu Sharma (Professor and HOD Respiratory Medicine, AJIMS & RC, Mangalore) on the theme of World TB Day. An awareness skit on Tuberculosis was done by Nursing students of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing. Street plays were conducted in Kavoor and Kuntikana by the MBBS students of AJIMS & RC in regard of the World TB Day celebrations. A Seminar and Signature Campaign for ‘End TB’ was done by MBBS students of AJIMS & RC.
The Programme was attended by more than 200 people across various fields associated with health care. Dr Jibi Stephen George compered the one day Programme.
