AJIMS holds National-level conference ‘INFORMATICS’ for Empowering Nurses in Digital Health
Mangaluru: A national level conference on “INFORMATICS “ –Engaging, Enabling and Empowering Nurses in Digital Health was organised by the Department of Nursing Administration in collaboration with 4th-year BSc Nursing students of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing at AJIMS Auditorium on July 31.
The programme began with a prayer song and lighting the traditional lamp. Nursing Superintendent of Motherhood Hospitals, Bangalore, Henry Lazarus was the Chief Guest and resource person for the programme.
Inaugurating the programme Henry Lazarus spoke regarding the importance of “ Informatics and health care system”.
The Principal of Laxmi Memorial College of nursing Dr Larissa Martha Sams addressed the gathering. Prashanth Shetty, vice president LMET, presided over the inaugural programme. Lhakpa Bhuti, Organizing secretary, unveiled the theme of the conference. Sushmitha welcomed the gathering and Kushala delivered the vote of thanks.
Delegates from neighbouring states and within the states attended the conference. Shiva Kumar J, Organizing Chairperson, Dr Yathikumara Swamy Gowda, KNC Observer, was present. The other resource persons were Manoj Kumar K Scientist D (Computer science), INFLIBNET Center, Gujarat who spoke on “E –Resources and Plagiarism”. Dr Judith Angelitta Noronha, Professor, Associate Dean, Manipal College Of Nursing, took a session on” Engaging Nursing Care with Technology”. Nursing and Electronic health record was dealt by Dinesh Prabhu, System Administrator, A J Hospital and Research Center, Mangalore. Beeneta and Olin compered the programme.
The programme ended with a feedback from the participants followed by the National Anthem.
