Ajman: Ambassador of Bangladesh to UAE Muhammad Imran Visits Gulf Medical University

Ajman: Muhammad Imran,Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates visited Gulf Medical University. He was received by the Founder President Board of Governors GMU, Thumbay Moideen and university officials.

Ambassador Muhammad Imran was appraised about the institution and was taken on a tour of the facility by Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost and Academic leadership of the university. The Ambassador saw the Center for Advanced Biomedical Research and Innovation and the Center for Advanced Simulation in Healthcare. He commended the high quality research work and training programs being undertaken at the university. He was highly impressed with the latest assessment and evaluation standards adopted by the university. He mentioned that ‘I am pleased to know that students from over 74 countries study at the university, which reflects global standards of education and training’.

He later interacted with the faculty and students and encouraged them to excel in their chosen careers. He said that ‘people with noble thoughts chose noble professions and their contributions to the well-being of the society are paramount’.You have chosen an institution that provides education of global standards. Today the world is moving from specialization to super specialization.

A good doctor or a healthcare professional needs holistic approach and this university is doing a great job in imbibing and imparting quality teaching that will mould a student into a complete professional. You can look forward to brilliant careers and serve the community wherever you work, he told the students.

Ambassador Muhammad Imran lauded the efforts of the promoters Thumbay Group UAE, and the university leadership for their commitment to rendering high quality education and healthcare in the region. Interacting with Thumbay Moideen, the Founder President, Board of Governors of GMU, he mentioned that he is highly impressed with the university and its infrastructure. It is on par with some of the reputed institutions in the world.

He told the management that he would recommend to leading institutions in Bangladesh to have exchange programs with GMU and also assured to introduce the Thumbay group activities to leading Bangladeshi business houses, especially in pharma sector.

Thumbay Moideen thanked the Ambassador for his visit and honoured him with special memento to mark the occasion.
