Akrosh Divas, Congress South Block forms Human Chain at Jyoti – Arrested

Mangaluru: The members of the Congress South Block formed a human chain and staged a protest to observe Akrosh Divas, against the Demonetization of Rs 500 and 1000 currency notes, at the Ambedkar Circle, Jyoti here on November 28.

More than 200 protesters formed a human chain and protested against the demonetization of currency notes. The sudden move of PM Modi demonetizing currency denominations of Rs 500 and 1000 has put the poor people in trouble. In this regard the congress party members protested by observing Akrosh Divas and formed a human chain blocking the traffic at the Ambedkar circle, Jyoti on November 28.

Protests were held at various places in the district since the morning against the demonetization of the currency notes. The Bunder police arrested the protesters.
