All Groomed, All Set! 11 Transgenders to Vie for the Crown at 1st State Transgender Beauty Pageant
Mangaluru: “Mirror..Mirror on the Wall, who’ll be the Prettiest and Best among Us All”- is the thought and question that is in the mind of the 11 finalists who’ll be competing in the FIRST ever “Parivarthan Beauty Pageant for Transgenders” happening tomorrow, Sunday 14 October 2018 at 5 pm at Town Hall-Mangaluru (now renamed as Kudmul Ranga Rao Purabhavana). Today, 13 October being the final day of their grooming, the 11 Transgender finalists who will walk the ramp in front of hundreds of cheering audience, are all gearing up for the big show, getting ready with all the training required for the Beauty Pageant.
For all these 11 finalists, this being their first time experience, are all excited, a few a little bit nervous to appear in front of the crowd, but all are really filled with enthusiasm and determination to give their best and unleash their hidden talents for the FIRST time at this FIRST “Parivarthan Beauty Pageant for Transgenders” taking place for the FIRST time in the beautiful and picturesque coastal city- Mangaluru, where unique and great events happen, and this showbiz is one of them. The finalists are beaming with pride and joy, with happy faces and are thrilled for the First time that they got a chance to participate in a Beauty Pageant, which was earlier a Woman Event.
In a final process of getting these FIRST timers to fare better, the organizers have put in all their efforts so that these 11 finalists will give their best performance walking on the ramp, attired in their best outfit from Saree to night gown- and Mangaloreans should get ready to witness a unique Beauty Pageant where Transgenders are playing an important role- and its happening tomorrow, 14 October 2018 at 5 pm at Town Hall-Mangaluru, a event organized by Parivarthan Charitable Trust in association with Mangalorean.com, V4 News and Fashion ABCD, Mangaluru.
The grooming today saw the finalists getting a thorough briefing on personal hygiene, Health Management etc from the renowned Dr Kalpana Ashfaque, from department of Physiology at AJ Hospital and Research Centre-Mangaluru; and also getting trained to give their best walk on the ramp which was very well choreographed by Shubha Kiran, the Founder of Sizzling Guys dance group and a professional artist. Tulu actress Sonal Monteiro, Mrs India Dubai Queen Joyce Rego, Charan Suvarna-Mangaluru (partner of fashion ABCD, and a experienced person in handling fashion shows, beauty pageants and other Film-related events); Ms Sharal Manoraj-Mangaluru ( experienced person in fashion Industry for a year, and currently in the grooming team of Fashion ABCD-Bengaluru/Mangaluru; and Ms Alisha Rego, Mangaluru-a professional Make-Up artist, Bridal Make-Up artist have put in all their efforts in grooming these 11 finalists to the best of their abilities- and their intentions are to make these Transgenders the “Best among the Rest” in the other kind of society.

Zareena The grooming on communication skills, walking style, performance, etc is getting on in full swing, and the Make -up on the final day will be done by the beauticians of Heaven Rose salon, Mangaluru.
Yes, the much awaited event of the Year which Mangaluru hasn’t seen till now, will be happening for the FIRST time in this picturesque Coastal City-Mangaluru on October 14 at Kudmul Ranga Rao Purabhavan, formerly Town Hall -Mangaluru, where the 11 Karnataka State’s beautiful and gorgeous Transgenders will walk the ramp, to win the coveted title, in the State Level Parivarthan Transgenders Beauty Pageant. This Beauty pageant is hosted by The Parivarthan Charitable Trust in association with Fashion ABCD and V4 Channel.
Parivarthan Charitable trust, a Ray of Hope for transgenders, was initiated in 2016, and since its inception has been working for the welfare of the Transgenders. Parivarthan Trust also celebrated the World’s First “Transgenders Day” on March 12 commemorating the birthday of Ms Violet Pereira, the Founder of the Trust, and the tradition in celebrating ‘Transgenders Day’ has been continued for the past two years. Last year, The Trust also hosted the FIRST ever Christmas Celebration with the Transgenders, thereby bringing the joy and fun during Christmas time among the Transgenders, and putting miles of smiles on their faces.
History was created in India last year in August, when India crowned its FIRST Transgender Beauty Queen in the Gurgaon, Haryana, at the “Miss Transqueen India”, which aimed to celebrate gender fluidity and enhance the profile of India’s trans community, with the winner being presented with an opportunity to represent India at the International Queen pageant in Singapore on March 2018. Also added attraction during the Pageant on 14 Oct will be dance performances by Mangaluru’s professional dance group “Sizzling Guys”, and a Jiu-Jitsu/Judo demonstration by Salomao Lima-a 2nd degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, 4th degree Judo black belt, and a certified MMA and Grappling Coach, along with his local team from Alpha Warrior-Mangaluru..So this event will be an extravagant showbiz of all times. Parivarthan Charitable Trust has been trying to help transgenders in various means, and this event is to give them a chance to unleash their hidden talents and make themselves known in the society just like other human beings. The winners in this beauty pageant will have a chance to participate in the International Beauty Pageant to be held in Singapore in March 2019.
