Allegation of Distributing Money is Baseless and Politically Motivated – U T Khader
Mangaluru: “My driver did not give money during the election campaign at Gundlupete. Whatever allegations put by the opposition are baseless and politically motivated. The opposition is sure that they will lose the elections and Congress party will win, so they are trying to put false allegations and create confusion in the minds of the people”, said the minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader in a press meet held at the Circuit house here on March 31.
U T Khader further said, “I was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident and my driver did not use the government vehicle. When I inquired about the allegations with my driver, he said that he was sitting in the car and had ordered two bottles of water with the vendor. When the vendor brought the water, he paid for it. Even the transgenders come to beg and it is customary to give alms if we don’t give they curse us. But the opposition is alleging that the Congress is distributing money which is far from the truth”.
Khader also said, “People of Gundlupete and Nanjangudu are innocent but not fools. CM Siddaramaiah after becoming the Chief minister, visited Chamarajanagar 6 times and sanctioned funds for the medical and engineering colleges. After the Mysuru king, Siddaramaiah is the only CM who cares for the people of Chamarajanagar and has worked for the development of the district. There is no opportunity for the opposition to go to Chamarajanagar because they have not contributed to the development of the district. Now since they are sure that the Congress will win in Chamarajanagar district, they are creating false rumours and filing false cases. Let there be an investigation in this case”.
When asked about the poor election campaign in Chamarajanagar, Khader said, “It is like whoever is good in studies and is well prepared does not need to study just before the exam day. Only those poor in studies, take books and study the whole day and night prior to the examination like the opposition which is making noise only during elections. They are like the circus company, They come, erect the tent and after the show, pack up their things and go. After the elections, they will pack up their things and leave. People are very much aware of all this circus,” he said.
