Alva’s College emerge champions at BEACONS media fest of Nitte
Mangaluru: Alva’s College, Moodbidri won the overall championship and St Xavier’s College, Goa were the runners-up at ‘BEACONS 2018’, the annual two-day media fest organised by Nitte Institute of Communication.
Nitte University Centre for Science Education and Research professor and ecologist Mitha Hegde was the chief guest for the closing ceremony held on October 5.
After handing over the prizes to the winners, she advised students to climb up the education ladder to seek knowledge and not just the degree. “Humans are part of nature and we need to accordingly adapt to sustain,” she said.
