Alva’s Education Foundation Christmas Right Along The Way
Vidyagiri : The Nudisiri Vedike of Alva’s Education Foundation,Moodubidire, was beautifully decorated with a colorful theme to celebrate Alva’s Christmas 2019. The Vedike looked splendid with twinkling stars, bright and colorful lights, Christmas tree, crib buzzed with over 4000 enthusiastic audience.
The chief guest of the event Father Francis Xavier Gomes emphasized the ambiance of Christmas and answered why Jesus was born. He addressed the gathering saying, “Every time we love one another, share, forgive and smile, it is Christmas. In the past, the personalities like Gandhiji , Mother Teresa strive hard to uplift downtrodden and voice for their sorrows. Today, in the society these kinds of personalities should be more, and through them Jesus Christ’s true principles could be achieved’’, he said.
As a part of celebration Humanity Trust founder Roshan Belman was felicitated on the occasion. After receiving felicitation Roshan assured that renunciation could be achieved by empathizing with every other person in and around us.
This was followed by prize distribution for competitions conducted for carol singing, stars making of Udupi and Mangalore Diocese Churches. The winners were awarded with cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 7500, Rs 5000 for first, second and third places respectively.
The celebration also witnessed carol singing by more than 500 carolers, slicing the Christmas cake, a dance drama depicting the birth of infant Jesus etc.
