‘Alva’s Nudisiri -2018’ from November 16 to 18 – Dr Mohan Alva
Mangaluru: “The national-level convention “Alva’s Nudisiri – 2018″, will be held from November 16 to 18 at the Ratnakarvarni Stage, at Sundari Anand Alva campus”, said the chairman of Alva’s Educational conglomerate of Moodbidri, Dr Mohan Alva, in a press meet held at Hotel Ocean Pearl here on November 12.
Addressing the mediapersons Dr Mohan Alva said, “On November 15, at 9:30 am the Alva’s Vidyasiri will be inaugurated under the presidentship of Sunnidi T Rai Perla from Kasargod. Popular film actress, Vinaya Prasad will inaugurate the Vidyasiri. Alva’s Vidyasiri Awards will be presented to the achievers on the occasion. The valedictory of Vidyasiri will be presided by Dr Mohan Alva”.
Dr Mohan Alva further said, “The colourful cultural procession will be inaugurated by Sashidhar Shetty from Baroda on November 16 at 8:30 am. SCDCC President Dr M N Rajenedra Kumar will hoist the flag. Ministers and MLAs will also be present for the inaugural ceremony.
Dr Mallika S Ghanti will preside over the function. The renowned researcher Dr S Shettar will inaugurate the three-day cultural convention. The theme of the three-day cultural convention will be “Karnataka Darshana – Bahurupi Ayaamagau”.
Dr Mohan Alva also said, “The Alva’s Nudisiri awards will be conferred on 12 achievers in various fields. This year we have selected Dr G D Joshi (Mumbai), Dr A V Narasimhamurthy (Mysuru), Padmashree Dr Bharati Vishnuvardhan (Bengaluru), Dr Arundhati Nag (Bengaluru), L Bandenavaj Khalif Aldala (Kalburgi), Dr K Ramanand Banari (Kasargod), Dr Narahalli Balasubramanya (Bengaluru), Prof A V Navada (Mangaluru), Fr Prashant Madtha (Bengaluru), H N Raghavendra (Shivamogga), Aruva Koragappa Shetty (Mangaluru) and Mysuru Nataraj (Washington). The achievers will be awarded on November 18 during the valedictory programme. President of Kendra Sahitya Academy Delhi Dr Chandrashekhar Kambar will be felicitated on the occasion and he will deliver the valedictory speech.”
