Ambulance driver stuck in Vehicle after Bus rams into Ambulance
Udupi: An Ambulance driver was injured when the ambulance collided into a private bus at Heroor Bridge on NH 66 on Monday December 19.
According to sources a private bus which was on its way to Udupi from Kundapur collided head on into an Ambulance coming from opposite direction. Due to the impact, the ambulance driver was stuck inside the vehicle. Later with help of locals the driver was brought out from the ambulance. The injured driver has been shifted to a private hospital and is said to be out of danger.
Traffic on the busy NH was disrupted for some time, as the Brahmavar police rushed to the spot and cleared the traffic.
Since the work of the Old bridge in Heroor is under progress and vehicles being allowed to ply only on the single road is the main cause for the accident said a eyewitness.
