These beauty pageant challengers are Successful Indian lasses who endeavor to act naturally certain, agile, exquisite, magnetic and respectable in the representation of India at home and around the globe. Many females who participate in beauty pageants contribute more to society than many would have expected in the past. Q: How did you prepare for this pageant? Have you competed in pageants before this one?

This being my first pageant, everything seemed new. There was nothing like a proper preparation as such; I just believed in myself and had a never give up attitude.

Q: How did modeling happen? So when was this first opportunity that came across?

Being in front of the camera is something that I love to do, I am very comfortable in that zone. The pageant was my first opportunity besides my first portfolio shoot.

Q: Can you recollect for us, the beauty contests that you have entered…?

“South India Queen 2017” was my first ever beauty contest.

Q: Which phase of the competition was your favorite? How do you measure success?

Well, the visits to the orphanage, spending time with the blind, walking for the blackathon was the best phase of the competition where I learnt the value of this beautiful comfortable life that I am privileged to have. I feel success is yet to come, I have only gone one step closer to achieve my goal.

Q: How were you different from the other contestants? What made you unique?

I feel every contestant is unique in her own way, most of them were from this industry but what made me different was the fact that this being my very first pageant; my excitement, the will to give my best for every event that took place, my confidence and dedication.

Q: Winning in this pageant, do you have any ideas for a change in your career for the future?

Yes I do feel that I would have a bright future in the field of modelling. Winning the SIQ title has given me the confidence to dream bigger.

Q: What do think would be the three qualities that every woman should have?

I feel every woman must have: Self Confidence, Perceive, and the Will to achieve what you dream.

The fact that “only if you are comfortable in what you are wearing, can you carry it off well” is something that I follow. At present, my favourite item in my closet is my Winning Gown.

Q: Who is your latest celebrity guy crush and girl crush?

Shah Rukh Khan has always been my favourite celebrity male crush. When it comes to female, I adore Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.

I am not much of a social media person, but Facebook is one such site which helps you to reach to many and convey what you want in a much easier way through posts.

Q: What your parents have to say about your success in this beauty contest?

My parents were flabbergasted and amazed with the outcome of this pageant because none of them had expected that I’d be the winner. They say they are yet to come to terms with this and they are overjoyed and simply grateful to God, and obviously proud of me.

Q: I am sure that your family is such a huge support to you and your journey to becoming “South India Queen 2017” – Was there any particular thing a family member has said that has inspired you to go this far?

Q: What do you admire the most in a man? When the right time comes to choose your life partner, what kind of man would you prefer?

How natural and generous he is, is what I admire in a man. Someone who respects my parents, my profession and my dreams is what I’d want to see in the man.

Q: What is that you would like to share with Mangalorean.com readers? Also some words of advice to younger girls who may want to follow in your footsteps:

All I want to say is, no girl is a burden for her parents. If she has the will, the dedication and necessary support by her parents, the sky would be her limit. My piece of advice to the young girls out there would be, “no dream is too big to dream”.Never give up on yourself, stay strong, have the right confidence and “nothing is impossible, the word itself says im-possible”.
