Amit Shah to address fishermen convention in Malpe on Feb 19
Udupi: BJP national president Amit Shah will address the fishermen convention rally of the Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada districts on February 19 at the Malpe sea shore said Mattar Rathnakar Hegde president of Udupi district BJP. He was speaking at a press meet held at the BJP office here on Thursday, February 8.
The Bharathiya Janatha Party has organised a three-district Fishermen Rally which the BJP national president Amit Shah will inaugurate and address the gathering. B S Yeddyurappa state BJP president, Union ministers, Udupi MP Shobha Karandlaje, DK MP Nalin Kumar Kateel will take part in the rally.
BJP national president Amit Shah will be arriving at Mangaluru International airport on February 18 at 7:45 pm. Thereafter he will proceed to Kukke Subramanya. On February 19 Shah will be addressing the College students and Party workers at Putter and Bantwal, he will be visiting the house of Deepak Rao who was killed by miscreants recently thereafter he will address a press meet at Surathkal. At 4:00 pm he will arrive at Malpe and address the fishermen convention rally, after the rally Shah will halt at the inspection Bungalow, he said.
On February 20 morning Amit will address the Social media activists convention at 10:00 am thereafter he will address the Shakthi Kendra Incharges convention at 11:00 am. After the afternoon lunch he will be proceeding to Uttar Kannada district to participate in the Navashakthi Samvesha, he added.
To make the programme successful the district BJP has appointed Yashpal Suvarna president of Udupi and DK district Fish seller’s federation as convener of the rally organising committee. Former MLA of Kaup Lalaji Mendon, Fishermen leaders Sadananda Balkur, Shashikanth Padubidri, Naresh Koderi, Panduranga Malpe, Manju Billava as co-conveners of the rally organising committee. More than 50000 people are expected to participate in the rally.
Criticising the Siddaramaiah led Congress government over the recently passed order on religious institutions, Mattar Rathnakar Hegde said that the Congress is deliberately interfering in the working of the Maths and Temples run by religious institutions. He asked Siddaramaiah to withdraw the politically motivated order. Voicing against the move, Matar announced that the BJP would stage a massive protest if the state government fails to withdraw the public notification.
