Amit Shah not Happy on BJP Shakthi Kendra leaders for not meeting his expectations
Udupi: Bharatiya Janata Party national president Amit Shah was upset with the party’s Shakthi Kendra leaders for not being up to the mark on tasks assigned to them to strengthen the organisation in the booth level.
He was addressing the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Mangaluru region Shakthi Kedra leaders meet at Ammanni Ramanna Shetty Auditorium ground, Udupi here on Wednesday, February 21. Shakthi Kedra leaders from Mangaluru Region include Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru districts.
The foundations of the party should be strengthened before the Karnataka assembly elections. The Shakthi Kendra leaders have a big responsibility of reaching out to every voter. Shah also asked BJP leaders not to get affected by what he called the misinformation campaign against the BJP by the opposition parties. We should strengthen the party at its roots across the state, he added.
I had asked the state committee to list out the names of the leaders in the booth level but the state leaders have not done their duty as expected. I then instructed the district leaders to strengthen the party at the booth level. The people are responding well with their support to the BJP but at the same time, the performance of the party workers is not up to the mark. Shah instructed all the Shakthi Kendra leaders to visit their booths regularly and also to stay overnight in each booth. All the instructions should be followed by March 5 after which the district leaders should submit a report to state and central committee.
The work at the booth level was most important, besides the peoples’ blessings to the party, by creating a wave in its favour. He also said that the party workers should seriously involve themselves and work for the party. If anyone neglects their duty it will not be tolerated, he said.
BJP has a big opportunity to come to power in the state in next assembly elections. The state leaders should encash the opportunity and bring the party into power, said Shah.
I’m here to win Karnataka at any cost. If you cannot work hard, I will visit every district and get things done. When the BJP can win Uttar Pradesh or Haryana, why should it be difficult to win Karnataka? he questioned.
