Amulya Kamath Secures Top Rank in Science Stream, Aspires to Engineering Career

Mangaluru: Amulya Kamath, a student of Expert PU College, has achieved the coveted first rank in the science stream of the recently concluded second Pre-University (PU) examinations. The daughter of prominent medical professionals, Ms. Kamath plans to pursue an engineering education.

Speaking on her achievement, Ms. Kamath expressed her aspirations, stating, “I expected to achieve a good rank. The teachers at college encouraged me, saying it was possible. Since I studied PCMC in the science stream, I aspire to become an engineer.” Beyond her academic pursuits, Ms. Kamath is also trained in Bharatanatyam and Carnatic classical music and enjoys reading extensively.

Ms. Kamath is the daughter of Dr. Dinesh Kamath, a dermatologist serving at Wenlock Hospital for the past nine years, and Dr. Anuradha Kamath, who operates a private clinic on Bisi Road. The family, originally from Bantwal, is no stranger to academic success. Dr. Dinesh Kamath noted that his elder daughter also secured the second position in the SSLC examinations and is currently studying engineering in Bengaluru.

“There was a lot of confidence among her teachers regarding Amulya achieving a good rank,” Dr. Dinesh Kamath commented. “Both our children are interested in engineering, and we have supported them according to their wishes. She has shown great interest in self-learning, and her teachers have played a crucial role in her success.” Ms. Kamath’s achievement stands as a testament to her dedication and the support of her family and educators.
